Our adult dog training classes will be run using the APDT Good Companion Awards, which will be led by Helen, who has been a member of APDT since 2010 (member no.1103).
At the start of the block of 4 classes, you'll be given all the information you need, to help you understand the exercises involved, as well as useful information about having a dog in your life.
Your dog might be ready to be assessed on the required exercises during the classes or they may need to wait until the actual assessment day (week 4). There's no pressure to succeed early. Dogs learn at different rates and it's dependant on how much time you have to teach them away from class. If any dogs are not ready to be assessed by the 4th session, you are encouraged to book another block of classes.
